Samantha Dederichs

Samantha Dederichs is a Textile Designer currently attending Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Fibers and Minor in Fashion, graduating Spring 2024. She gravitates towards hands-on projects, practiced through knitwear, crochet, print design, material manipulation, spinning yarn, natural dying, oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting. In addition, she is proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator where she creates her digital prints and repeat designs. Her interest in creative endeavors originated in high school where she instructed painting classes for “Tipsy Brush Studio'' in South Haven, Michigan. Dederichs has since then won an award for “Emerging Artist of 2020” at McCord Gallery and Cultural Center in Palos Park, Illinois and held a solo gallery that showed 60 of her pieces. Dederichs sells her original artwork and prints on her Etsy Shop  and currently instructs step by step painting classes to adults at “Painting with a Twist” in Savannah Georgia. Her intrinsic motivation and versatility in creating leads her to be dedicated to her work.
